What do I wear?

Comfortable clothes that do not restrict movement such as track suit bottoms, leggings, tee shirt. Socks or bare feet.

How long are the classes?

All classes are for one hour.

How many people are in each class?

Group classes consist of 6 to 12 people.

Are mats and equipment provided?

Since COVID-19, it is not advisable for people to share equipment - please contact me for details of what you will need to purchase.

How much do the classes cost?

Group classes are £9 per person paid as part of a five or six week block . Private sessions are from £40 per person depending on location. If you miss a class you may attend another class within the block as long as there is space. Please ask about this when you enrol.

What is core stability? Why is it important?

Core stability is about training the muscles that support the spine and is fundamental to the Pilates method. Core stability is important because it provides a protective muscular corset which helps to stabilise the spine. It also helps to prevent and reduce lower back pain.

How many classes do I need until I notice an improvement?

Everyone is different but Joseph Pilates once said, "In ten sessions you will feel the difference, in twenty you will see the difference, and in thirty you will have a whole new body."

I recommend that you do at least one class a week to start with. Ideally, two classes per week would be more beneficial especially if you have back problems. You can also do some exercises at home in between classes.

Are private classes available?

One to one classes are useful before joining a group.
